Cold Nights
As december dawns in, the nights get darker quicker, and the nights get far too cold quicker. I'm currently sat listening to Lana Del Rey's - Gods & Monsters song on repeat, singing it to myself, whilst waiting for the heating to hurry up and warm me up. Of course I do have a very large cup of tea waiting for me, however it was too piping for me to get it drunk.
Anyways, I know that I keep saying this over and over, and I do mean it, I am very bad for keeping up to date with this. I blame work for this, haha, only joking, but because it is peak season, all retail places are in their prime especially for christmas shoppers.
Whats on your christmas list?
I saw a really beautiful iridescent cream dress in Topshop for £60, so beautiful. A few weeks back at the Eldon Square branch in the windows, they had this exact dress on the mannequin and they teamed it with a black bralette, that was beautifully embellished. I also found that one item today too, and they were placed next to each other instore. I was so tempted to get both, but Christmas as per usual has broke me, and I couldn't afford the £90 in total for both items. Maybe I'll just keep checking the sales, note to you all, 24th December is normally when most stores load their sales, so make sure you have some pennies saved aside for these dates. You don't wanna miss out on anything good.
I finally got my first assignment of the BCoS done and sent, I'm slightly confused as to whether they send my marks out or they just send them all out at the end? who knows, I dunno if any of you will know? ha! But I should really crack on with the second one, and get that sent in too. Need to set myself some deadlines I think and keep on top of them all.
I'm going to go and give the brief another quick read, I promise come 2013, I will be more on top of this, and make use of it more. However please do keep a check on my Instagram, and follow me @azeene, it is also the same name I use on Twitter, and if you wanna follow me on Tumblr, do it! As I am more of a visual person, I tend to update Tumblr alot quicker than my actual blog.

In the mean time take it easy, I'm going to go watch Dirty Dancing, and re-read my briefing for my assignment two!

Comping
Have you guys heard of comping before?
I'm gunna try taking this hobby up and see if I can win anything. I win nothing haha.
The only thing I have ever won in my life, was a thumper teddy back in infant school, where you had to choose a name for the teddy and the best name won. However at the time I was the only one who had entered, therefore resulting to me winning. Spot of luck I guess, haha.
Anyways, I'm feeling slightly lucky coming to this end of the year and flowing into 2013, hopefully I can win at least one thing, I'd be happy with winning one thing! There is so many fashion competitions for shopping sprees, or tickets for shows etc, it would be amazing to win something from them.
If you search into Google, about comping a lot of topics come up, and there are forums that relate to comping, and die hard fans post in these forums of the latest competitions on the go.
So everyone, lets test our luck and hope for the best!!!!

Lunch Break Ponders
I'm currently on my break at work, and realised that I've been pretty slack in blogging. Apologies to those who have been reading I'll try to keep up to date as much a I can.
Who is excited for Halloween? I am for the first time in a long time! What is everyone getting dressed up as? on Saturday I'm going to my friends Halloween party, gunna go as myself I think with some fangs that I bought last year and never used. I'll see how they go. However on the night of Halloween, my friend and I are going to Shake @ The Cut in Newcastle for their Halloween bash! she's going to get me dressed as a skeleton I think.
Anywho, it was just a lunch time ponder about Halloween and passing some time while I planned costumes! also I really love Macauley Culkin again, poor guy has been getting so much stick for weight loss etc, but he's still amazing in my eyes. Give the guy a god damn break is all I can say!
Well I best get myself sorted for work as break time is nearly over and I've got a ton of stuff to do!
Ciao for now amigos!
Love A, xXx

Tumblr . . Instagram . . . Mag Reading and Working
and clearly no time to be posting an update.
I do apologise for the lack of updates on here. I've recently just gotten myself a promotion at work, to 40 hours a week in the stockroom. I like being in the stockroom, it is really fun, and I get to see all the new lines before they get put out onto the shop floor. You can really see that winter is on the way with all the colour way packages coming in quite quickly and especially all the knitwear that is on the way too.
As much as I love the cold weather, and being able to wrap up nicely and wear warm clothes, I'm always one for the summer sunshine. In the future I plan to move away, I'm not sure where it's a tough choice between LA or NY, I really do hope that one day I will be able to follow up my career there. I've also recently applied to get into the British College of Styling, to get myself a diploma in the area of fashion I love most. Fingers crossed though that I get onto the course. It's an online course which is great for me with my heavy working schedule, I just hope that I get accepted for the course.
What is everyone's views on the fashion weeks up to date so far? I think they've been spectacular! I envy my sister because each LFW she get's to go down to work for the events team with MAC to do the makeup on the models before the shows. I would love to be able to work backstage and for the styling of the models. Would be an amazing experience. Watching some of the fashion shows and seeing all the display set up's is amazing, I love how creative and unique each one becomes.

Topshop Unique's show was amazing, it caused quite a uproar in the press also, as it was long awaited for LFW. The styles being quite simple and monochromed, with dark shades of navy and pastel shades of pink, with the use of a silver splashes here and there compliment the collection really nicely. The use of Grime's for this video is great too, as she is an amazing performer. Her voice is quite unusual and unique, which fits nicely with the Topshop Unique collection.
I love watching all the fashion shows, because they get me so inspired, and give me that small boost of motivation to get designing again. Fingers crossed I get more motivation and start knocking up some ideas, because I do really love the designing just as much as I enjoy the styling.
So on that note, I'm going to dig out a sketchbook and see where the creative flare takes me. If you guys are on tumblr, I am currently enjoying Tumblr loads and have set up a blog on there too, mostly pictures and videos I like but do check it out!
Take it easy! Over & Out! xxx

From Autumn To Ashes - Autumn's Monologue (+lyrics)
Always loved this song, it got me through 2010 for the first 6 months when I was in placement, and in a very sad moment of my life. The whole album is amazing, by From Autumn to Ashes - The Fiction We Live. I always felt this should've been used on the soundtrack for the twilight movie, because it fitted so well, along with more songs by them.

Late Night Ponders
Lying in bed. Thinking whilst watching Disney Pixar's Ratatouille. So much has been going on that I am actually looking forward for the future months coming.
It's the time also, that time when students go back and kids go back into their education holes. However now that I don't really study I'm really enjoying working fulltime!! My job at present is super fun!! It makes me want to learn so much the more I go in!!
Based on fashion terms however I just want everything I see haha! I cannot resist and cannot help myself from always looking at things. I always find too that when you work in retail especially clothing it helps you in some way to create a look and style that you feel most comfortable with as you have access to stock you wouldn't have always got to see unless you were shopping. I love being on the fitting room at work because it's interesting to see the types of people who shop their, and the sort of things they choose to buy. You can get a feel for how they would wear an item or style an item when talking to them and giving them advice.
I love helping people shop!! And styling people up! I just love giving people a subtle push into wearing something they've always wanted to try or like and never went through with owning it. Wear what you feel most comfortable in but remember to make sure it's flattering against you, and if it's something you wouldn't normally go for but absolutely love, give it a chance and enjoy wearing something new in your life.
When it comes to fashion treat it like your personality. Don't go too overboard with stuff. Remember it has to still deem amazing for when other people are witnessing what you have.
Ok so I'm gunna get some shut eye. Take it easy!!!
Loads of love, A

Today's Outfit.
Just about to go to town, to pick up a birthday card for my friend, and some green tea, since the sainsbury's next to where I live only has a limited range. However I am a bit short for time. But here is my choice of outfit for today, although the sun is shining I think it may still be a little windy/breezy. I'll only know until I step outside aha!
* Checked Shirt ~ Topshop
* Grey Short Dress ~ Topshop
They don't stock this on the site no more but you can get a similar dress here.
* Skinny Indigo Jeans ~ Leigh ~ Topshop
* Brown Leather Satchel Bag ~ Topshop
* Black Suede Creepers ~ Garage Shoes
It's quite a comfy outfit, especially for just socialising with friends, and even though we are going for a meal tonight, it's just a casual event, and nothing where we need to be too overly dressed. I'm quite looking forward to the meal, as where we are going is really cheap, its a mediterranean style restaurant, that has a set 3 course menu for only £6.20. Can't go wrong there!
Anyways I'm gunna have to dash as time is getting on and I need to get to where I have to be asap!!

Stylespiration
I'm just passing time, while I wait for my hotmail account to be unblocked, god knows how it happened, I think it was from me sending pictures off my iPhone to my emails haha. woops. So I'm just internet window shopping, and thought to put some items on big spreads of what I like from the online stores I've looked at.
Firstly I had a look at Topshop, as when I worked at Miss Selfridge, I was always shopping in both. Since I've moved jobs I very rarely get a look. Baring in mind, these aren't outfits I've put together, just items I wish to one day own! ha. The items I've selected are currently available to purchase online at the Topshop website.
Putting these together took longer than I thought, and I really wanted to start on some sketchbooks and get some drawings and pages put together. For now I'm going to go make some food, as I'm pretty hungry and get back onto my sketchbook work. Hope you guys enjoy the two I've posted. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing more internet window shopping tomorow!

Madonna - Open Your Heart
I love this Madonna song! The video is so great, and not to mention the song. Madonna circa the 80's - 90's were my fave times of her. She wore some smashing outfits, especially her 80's get up in "Desperately Seeking Susan" (awesome film if you haven't already seen it). I remember when I was younger my sister had the VHS of Madonna's "Immaculate Collection", and we used to watch it constantly, as it was just filled with the top best Madonna videos.
Enjoy! xXx
Enjoy! xXx

Crushed Skull Stud.
Time to start uploading some images of what I put together on a day to day basis (I can't promise that it will be a day to day basis, but I will offer what I can). Friday, I was working, and decided to try and reflect the trends we have in store at present. Because they are quite dark colours in the collections, I opted for black (big mistake as it was roasting).
So there is the image of what I wore. Crushed velvet leggings are my fave, because they are different from just plain leggings, and give an outfit an interesting feel. These were from Primark at the time, when crushed velvet was massive. I'm a huge fan of Topshop, so a few items are from there, the skull tshirt, the brown leather bag, and the studded boots.
However the boots were just plain from Topshop, I wanted them for ages because I loved how they folded over, and they were very different. When completing my degree this year, I had so many studs left over, I wanted to use them on something to make something look unique. I saw an image on Instagram of some studded boots, I can't remember who by, but I fell in love! So decided to recreate my own.
The little waistcoat is one I got from Miss Selfridge when I worked there. I love this because it's so comfortable, and goes with so much, it can dress down an outfit or dress one up when accessorised well. It was an overall comfortable outfit, just a shame about the heat.

Back on Track!
Time for me to get back on track with blogging, and stuff in general. Now I don't have uni I need to find time to occupy myself through the spare time I have and working. However I do hope that work offer me more hours, as I'm desperate for the extra dollar, and have too many hopes and dreams on board.
I had a great day with brother today. Helped him shop for some clothes which was quite fun, I enjoy doing that with other people, because some way I always get people without doing much effort to buy things, and sometimes things they wouldn't normally purchase. For instant, we went to Union, just down Grey Street, as it was like a mini clearance store, because they moved location. There was a purple Kappa jumper in there, which he ended up purchasing. It was a nice shade of purple too, not to poncy for a boy to wear, minus the pastel pink kappa logo.
Anyways, I've been having so much inspiration flowing through my head to get me back on the designing track. I know I've said that there will be pictures from my last trip to Barcelona being uploaded, and I do promise I will get them up there, I just have to find a way of compiling them onto a bigger space so I don't use up all the picture allowance (I'm sure that happened last time)
My brother recommended to me a documentary/movie to watch tonight, as we were discussing skateboarding and skateboarders over a nice coffee, and he mentioned one called "We Are Skateboarders." Once I've watched it I will let you guys know the verdict!

Procrastinating . . . . the word for today!!
I'm on an extreme procrastination trip today, avoiding anything that consists of me using my brain. I did however make some eggless cookies!! which is really weird, they taste quite unusual! ha! My instragram has a snapshot of them, they look like normal everyday cookies, just taste eggless, ha. It is very weird.
I'm about to put together a fashionable city guide, for my promo for Stay Gold, for uni. I should be doing this than writing and entry for my blog, but what the hey!! It would be great to hear what some of you would like to see in the city guide, don't forget its based on my brand and their inspirations too. So it isn't a full city guide that you would buy in a shop haha.
I'm also watching Monster-in-Law, the Jennifer Lopez film, it's on TV and I'm just passing time, before I grab some strawbs and keep up with the kardash's, however I'm sad as season 7 starts tonight and I miss it as I don't got the channel. Nevermind, procrastination will end there!! haha!
Short but sweet! hope to hear your feedbacks soon!

Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke (Hardfloor Remix)
Watching The Beach, has made me love this song so much ha. It makes me just want to get out and dance. The video used for this track however is quite crazy. I love the work with the silhouette and the white background. The way the guy dances, just keeps you watching it more.
A Delayed Break.
Super sorry for the lack of writing here! I have been massively busy keeping with deadlines for uni. I currently have another deadline to be working on at present, so I thought I would keep this quite short and sweet.
Finals of all sorts of shows are on tonight it is crazy. Currently watching Britains Got Talent, and I don't know who I want to win. I love singers, but there is already a show dedicated for singers, and this is what annoys me, because a lot of singing acts get through.
Also today, I did a small shop (naughty as I don't have much dollar), but I just popped into Topshop, got a small jersey dress, it is plain and simple and along with a plain jersey top. I love plain clothes, because they are easy to accessorise than patterned things, or embellished thing. You need to be quite careful how you accessorise these types of items, without looking like an over the top christmas tree or decoration. With plain, you can get some bold statement jewellery and wear it with.
A few months back, Miss Selfridge had a really beautiful colourful body chain, with a little detail. I was silver, black and neon yellow. I wish I had purchased it now, because it would go quite nicely with my new top I've purchased.

Above are the items I bought, the jersey dress, you have probably seen a ton of people buying it, and wearing it, it is only £25.00 so quite a bargain. Also I know that Primark a few weeks back, had brought out their own similar styled one for £8 ha! extreme bargain. The tshirt I bought was only £14.00 so again another good bargain for a simple wear. Don't forget too, if your a student, you get 10% off in Topshop! So make good use of that!!

I'm really warming to this dress, my friend got it, when it first came into Topshop, and I loved it. It is one of those items that you can dress up or down, depending on your day or night and where your going. I might have to purchase this, however I need a dress for Graduation. ha. So I need to think more in regards to that.
Well I'm going to crack on with my work. Hope this was some sort of help to anyone who had some issues with styling of plain goods etc. haha. I do try.
Ciao for now!

Kings of Leon - Milk
Love, Love, LOVE this song. It got me through such a horrible time I was going through years ago. It certainly is one of Kings of Leon's best tracks they've ever done.

Getting used to Illustrator.
It has only taken me like five whole years to eventually get used to using Illustrator and now I only have 4 weeks left to show it all off, well only a couple days for portfolio before I need to get that handed in. Scary times, super scary times. haha. Thought I would show you guys two of the girls I've done in full length form, as my Instagram ones are cut in half to fit so people can see them all.
There will be more when I'm done with them tonight, because they take me ages as I'm only getting used to it all (which is funny because I should be used to it all anyways haha!)
Will keep you all updated soon.

Rihanna - Where Have You Been
Rihanna's new released video - Where have you been. Probably my most favourite song on her new album, but the video is totally not what I have expected. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest!! ha. But she looks unreal, amazing and smoking hot! I envy this girl way too much, she is just utterly amazing.
Don't tell me she doesn't look unreal, ha I will be very protective and mad. But anyways, I love, love, LOVE her outfit in the shot on the picture. Pink hareem, and zebra print top!!! PERFECT combo, I love her hair also, she has so many hairstyles it is super hard to keep up, but this is beautiful!! with the headband too. I guarantee you all will see many girls copying this look, however there is only one Rihanna (Cheryl Cole has already started to try and be her which is a bad shame)
I found an article also with the Make-up artist who was on the set for the video, Kabuki.
I love the idea, of the $ signs and the crosses used for the sequins on her face, it is a shame you can't see them properly in the video because everything is so fast paced and quick. HOWEVER he did an amazing job, she looks unreal!!! UNREAL the word for this blog entry hahaha!
Hope you guys enjoi the video and article as much as I did!! I love Rihanna she is one of my ultimate faves if not the main fave!
Ciao for now! and Enjoi!

GFW Brochure Page.
So, in June, it is going to be Graduate Fashion Week (GFW). Not sure how many of you are going to be there, it will be on from the 10th-14th I think? ha I may have the dates wrong, I will be down London during those dates ha. It will be held in Earl's Court. So if your passing by be sure to come along! You can see all the universities show casing all their fashion course work.
I thought I would show you guys my brochure page, as we have brochures made to take etc.
Just plain and simple ha, I did have more on it, but then it hadn't really worked well with the layout of the brochure style that was required. However I do like it being just simple and plain. So it was a bonus I guess. ha.
Bye for now!

VANS - Waffle Sole, iPhone 4 / 4S case
So here is the low down on this case. Last year around Christmas time (2011), Vans released a limited edition Waffle Sole phone case for the iPhone, in style of their famous sole, on the majority of their trainers. This case proved to be an ultimate hit amongst those lucky enough to get one. So would the hype of the case, bring Vans to create more.
After I got my mother to research for me in London, and go to the Vans store, situated in Carnaby Street, and see if they had it stocked there, I was out of luck. NOWHERE was able to get this case, or stock it, not even on their official website. However the sales assistant had informed my mother that they would get a restock nearer to summer.
So it was just a game of waiting. . . as always.
How awesome is this case please?!?!
The other day, I decided to do some internet research, and see if I could find it anywhere, or if there was any mention from Vans if it was going to be re-released. Turns out a week before my research it had been! I missed out again . . .what an absolute gutter.
Sad thing is, this case was purchased by a load of people who are selling it on eBay for more than what its worth. Even though it is a limited edition number, still people should really consider that other people might want to purchase this at the same rate they bought it. Clearly these people have been waiting for some time for this to arrive back in stock.
Anyways the original retail price is normally $28 / £15, however you can find yourself fighting with bidders and probably paying double the amount if not approx £40 for this case which is nuts I know. I battled for ages with anonymous bidders, until eventually I won one, which set me back a whopping £33, but it's been dispatched and on its way.
What a way to make some extra cash ey! Sell a load of limited edition phone cases. I guarantee knowing my luck, this phone will be available soon in massive bulk and to purchase at any time and I've paid double for it.
Nevermind! I'm still quite excited for it, because for now, I know that not many people over here will have it! So it's something to be quite excited about.
But if you guys are looking to purchase there are a ton of sellers from America, on eBay who are selling these at present! Go get yourselves one pronto! before they go and you wish you had one!!!!

Freaks and Geeks.
If you haven't watched this yet, I strongly recommend that you do! I've wanted to watch this for so long, and eventually got round to getting it.
Was created in 1999, starring Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, James Franco, Ben Foster and a few more big named actors. It's basically about high school life and kids trying to fit in with crowds etc, and just the whole essence of growing up with things around them such as the usual; sex, drugs, rock n roll, music, fashion , cheerleaders etc.
It's set in the late 70's early 80's period, and pretty much sums up any teenagers life. It's sad it only lasted the one season, I think they should've carried it on for more season's as it totally would'e been worth it. I'm nearly through with them all :( and sad, because I want to see more.
However it has given me some style inspiration to try and create a collection, based on the theme of the show, as the style shown throughout is quite casual, and preppy like. But from what you see today these days, it is quite on trend, so it hasn't failed on that part.
If you haven't watched it, like I said before, GET IT and watch it or even stream it! Because it is worth it.
Gunna complete the rest now.
Ciao for now!

Graffiti in South Shields SkatePark - October 2009
I know that the dates of these images are quite old, BUT it doesn't mean that they can't give you any inspiration or motivation to be creative. I think that it is always a good thing to always have inspirational ideas even if the images are a bit dated.
South Shields SkatePark is always covered in graffiti and if not changed now and again, majority of the time the bulk of the artwork stays put. So I found some images I took back in 2009, and thought it would be quite cool to get these up.
I'm trying to back log a lot of stuff for you guys, because although it is old, it is still quite cool to look at regardless. In some way or another I hope that it can give you some creative flow, or inspiration.

First two images, one by BUG and the second one by EYES (I have a lot of eyes work from Sunderland, will get that up too)
No Promises!
Knowledge is Power!
Art work created by BUG, as the same as the first image.
This above is image shows the art work created by re:sist.
There isn't really a lot to talk about the graffiti of shields, because in some cases some is really awesome, but you do have the occasional ones that don't allow it to be up to scratch. However the colours are so vibrant in the images I've taken, and theres a variation of tag work, and stencil work, and actual illustrated work. It's all quite a concoction, however since these were taken I'm pretty sure the work has probably developed a lot since then, so if possible I will try and get some recent pictures to see the development.
Ciao for now!!

Leather Lingerie
So back in third year of uni, we were required to do a product based project, based on inspiration from the Bowes Museum. I decided on doing some lingerie as I had never done it before, and thought it would be quite the interesting challenge. (which is most certainly was haha) However I was proud of the outcome of what I created, and alongside it, I needed to create a photo-shoot that matched up well with the design. My design although being lingerie based, was more inspired on the clothing Rihanna had been sporting during that year, and more based on underwear as outwear sort of theme going on.
I used black napa glove leather for the main bulk of the design, and this vintage victorian-esque lace I purchased off a seller on Ebay which softened the tone of the leather. I embellished small bits of the lace, which you probably wont be able to see on the model. However I will try and wack some shots just of the lingerie itself with details etc.
The photo-shoot was done in my brother's home, to which we just wanted a plain white back ground so the model and the lingerie would stand out nicely against it.
These are the shoes, that my model, Jade was wearing. These are her own shoes, and from Office a while back now, it was when Office brought out their range of heels labelled "Really High" haha. They are insanely high!
So here we were experimenting, using the Victorian lace that I had leftover, and using it as a feature for the models eyes, so that the theme was still evident in the shoot of what it was all about. It worked quite well, as it was quite a subtle effect.
Here you can see the subtle effect of using the lace as a the eye shadow feature. It creates quite an interesting look.
Crimping of the hair! Crimping machines are awesome! Long live them!! This was helping us to create our big hair that we wanted Jade to have. (We are going to be back combing the poop out of her hair!!!)
FALSE EYELASHES MANIA!! we used two sets, one on the top of the eyes and one on the bottom. The top set were eyelure's doubled lashes, and the bottom layer are Jade's own lashes.
Jade's beautiful big eyes, create the look I think, we added a layer of mascara to the top to help define the lashes and give them a more bold and striking look.
Using some extra parts of the lace, we decided instead of going in with a standard lipstick for the effect we would use the lace as it would like quite interesting and cool. She looks ultimately gothed up!
BIG BIG HAIR!!!
I'm not gunna bore you guys with tons and tons of photos, but the best ones that I felt were suitable for this entry. Hope you guys enjoyed seeing the build up to the shoot, and the behind the scenes of the shoot. Next entry will be the final edits for you all to check out! :)
Peace!
Love A, xXx
