Barcelona (Oct 2011) - The Skate Scene

Another major part of Barcelona is the massive skate scene they have. I got the chance to hangout with some skaters who were Brazilian too, and really cool to hang out. They were so chilled out and just a great laugh. So I thought it would be cool to wack up a small entry just on the cool skate scene that was about, give you guys an insight if you skate and haven't been yet.

Met these danish guys on the first night, and after telling them about my city report I was doing for uni, they told me if I wanted to grab more shots of skaters and stuff, to head down to MACBA! They were really canny, and we spotted them a few more times during the stay there. 

Welcome to your small tiny VANS skate shop in Barcelona, I think this was located near the Barri Gotic area.

And you can see how busy it is. Full of people chillin with beers, skateboards, and just overall hanging out. 

This guy was pretty cool and look how funky his deck is!

 

CREME skate shop, where everything inside was made from skate decks. How cool is the chair!!! They made 50 limited edition ones. Not the comfiest thing to sit on, but add some cushions and it will be pretty sweet ha!

MACBA skate at night. The second skate pic was my ultimate fave. I had a hard time trying to capture them in mid trick! haha! 

FREE skateboard shop, quite small, just like CREME but both shops were pretty awesome inside, and full of stock.

These last couple shots, are of some skaters who skated about the Universitat area, there was always loads about there too when we were heading to the metro.

Diagonal, and Eixample are other places we were informed of where a lot of skater's hung about. 

Hope you guys found this as interesting as I had seeing it all. It's something I miss about Barcelona, especially just hanging out at MACBA. It was always so much fun.
